Vietnam Veterans Killed in Action Laid to Rest at Arlington

On June 17, the remains of 14 fallen Air Force gunship crewmembers were laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery, nearly 40 years after their aircraft was shot down in southern Laos. The crew was killed in action on March 29, 1972.  Forensic anthropologists and scientists from the Defense Department were able to identify the crewmembers.  They were buried with full military honors and representatives from families of 13 of the airmen were able to attend the ceremony.  For more information, including the names of the Veterans, please see: www.retirees.af.mil/news/story.asp?id=123210074.
