Today’s Stars & Stripes reports that VA’s Budget Would Climb to Nearly $200 Billion Under Trump Proposal.   In addition, the Associated Press issued a Fact Check, questioning Trump’s Inflated Claim on Costs of War.  AP reported that the past 17 years of war in and around Iraq and Afghanistan have actually cost $4.3 trillion, and not the $7 trillion claimed by the president. The costs of the wars increase to $5.6 trillion when future healthcare and benefits for Veterans is included.
