The newly appointed director of the VA Montana Health Care System, Robin Korogi, plans to initiate greater access to health care for veterans in Montana and to assist in reducing homelessness. Korogi, a veteran herself, hopes to further telehealth capabilities, which will allow veterans to go from their homes to facilities that provide telehealth services. Increased government funding has also enabled the state to open additional facilities and hire more personnel. The expanding services should reduce travel time for many veterans and provide medical care to greater numbers of veterans in Montana.
