Respiratory Issues Emerge in Younger Veterans

There have been increasing numbers of Veterans who were deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan that are now reporting respiratory issues. Many researchers feel that these effects will be long lasting and point to allergens, exposure to dust, and pollution in those areas as possible causes of these lung ailments. Pentagon officials and VA find the studies so far to be largely inconclusive and the effects temporary. Further studies are being conducted.
