New Veterans’ Employment Bill Introduced in the U.S. Senate

AOLNews reports that a new bill has been introduced in the Senate that aims to address unemployment among Veterans.  Some of the more interesting among its various proposals are extension of the post-9/11 GI Bill to include coverage for vocational training in addition to the traditional college degree and the creation of a Veteran Business Center to help entrepreneurial Veterans start their own businesses.  Though hope for fast action is slight since the bill falls under several separate committees in Congress, it nonetheless contains encouraging ideas for welcoming Veterans back into the civilian world.
