May Veterans Events

May 10-11: Veterans Lobby Day, Washington, DC

Servicemembers United and the Human Rights Campaign are organizing an extended program designed to lobby against “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” as Congress will begin to focus on the defense authorization bill that could include a repeal of this policy.  Several other veteran/military and other organizations will also be participating.  For more information, see:

May 21-23:  Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Weekend, Green Bay, WI

“LZ [Landing Zone] Lambeau” is Wisconsin’s official thank you honoring Vietnam veterans.  There are several events scheduled throughout the weekend, with most on Saturday, May 22.  Most events are free for all.  The special tribute event on Saturday night is free to all Vietnam-era veterans with a nominal charge for the public.  For more information, see:
