A $92,600 Knights of Columbus project has finally been dedicated and delivered. A specially outfitted van has been purchased for use at the West Haven VA Hospital, for those veterans who previously had extremely limited means of leaving the facility. Located near Hartford, Conn, this van will now allow the 10-12 veteran amputees to join their fellow veterans for baseball games, picnics and other outings. The KoC did not stop fundraising once they hit the incredible amount for the van, but continued raising money, managing to collect $12,000 extra which will be used for maintenance. The van is able to transport 8 disabled veterans and three aides.
