Job market improvement for Veterans seen in May

According to a recent Military Times article, the Veterans’ unemployment rate dropped from 9.1 percent in April 2010 to 7.8 in May 2010. Younger Veterans—those discharged since 2001—continue to have a higher unemployment rate than the national average, but the job market appears to have improved for them.  In May, the unemployment rate for Iraq and Afghanistan era Veterans was 10.6 percent, down from 13.1 in April.  The unemployment rate for all veterans has improved compared to a year ago.  For more details see: www.militarytimes.com/news/2010/06/military_veterans_mayunemployment_060410.
