Japanese-American WWII Veteran Awards

The House is slated to vote on a measure this week regarding awarding the Congressional Gold Medal to approximately 6,000 Japanese-Americans who served during World War II.  This event is particularly emotional for some, as many Japanese-American soldiers fought for the U.S. while their families spent time in internment camps.  The Senate passed the bill unanimously in August.
