VA adds more exposed ships to Agent Orange list.
On July 9, 2013 the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) updated the agency’s list of U.S. Navy and Coast Guard ships that operated in or near Vietnam during the war between January 9, 1962 and May 7, 1965.
VA has both added more ships and expanded information previously provided for other ships on the list. There are now 285 ships on the list.
The list of Navy and Coast Guard ships can help Vietnam War Veterans find out if they qualify for presumption of Agent Orange exposure when seeking disability compensation for Agent Orange related diseases.
The medical conditions presumed to be associated with Agent Orange can be found at VA’s web site.
