A new military medical center is being opened in Bethesda, Maryland to treat veterans who have suffered psychological or neurological injury. The center was built by private funds from the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund. The sponsors of the facility have expressed that they want to turn the unseen war wounds of mental illness and traumatic brain injury into badges of honor. The ribbon cutting ceremony took place on June 24. For more info, see: www.militarytimes.com/news/2010/06ap_brain_center_062410.
