Vets to Home Project

Local government, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and nonprofit organizations are working together in an effort to provide housing, medical treatment, job training, and other services to 60 homeless Veterans in Los Angeles County.  The Vets to Home Project 60 is attempting a newer approach, including not requiring the Veterans it serves to be sober to obtain housing, to getting vulnerable homeless Veterans off the street and into treatment and training programs.  The organization is currently aiming to assist 60 at risk Veterans within the next two year, but ultimately it hopes to expand to serving 600 or more.
